Turks-Nederlandse Syriëganger is een fotokunstenaar

Voordat Yilmaz besloot naar Syrië te gaan was hij beroepsmilitair in Nederland. Daarvoor vervulde hij zijn dienstplicht in Turkije. Nu traint hij andere jihadisten in het land voor de strijd tegen Assad, bleek uit een interview bij Nieuwsuur. Hij meent dat hij niet gelieerd is aan de Al Qaida of aan de IS.

Als gebruiker van Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram en Ask.fm geeft hij een beeld hoe het eraan toe gaat in het gebied. Enkele accounts werden kort geleden afgesloten, maar zijn Tumblr bleef overeind. Wij kozen er enkele posts uit:
